Trade Compliance Specialist at Tenstorrent About the role Tenstorrent is seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage daily import and export compliance operations within our Canadian office. This position starts with high-volume screening and shipment processing, offering a clear path to manage more complex regulatory responsibilities as you gain experience. You will work directly with the Trade Compliance Director to ensure our semiconductor operations adhere to international standards.

What you’ll do Execute daily export reviews including restricted-party screening, end-use verification, and license determinations.
Manage shipment release decisions and resolve daily inquiries from internal logistics and cross-functional teams.
Draft and support Canadian export license applications and facilitate responses to government inquiries.
Conduct research on regulatory requirements and internal products to document findings for compliance decisions.
Maintain trade master data and develop internal procedures to support ongoing compliance workflows.
Requirements Bachelor degree in international business, supply chain, customs, legal studies, political science, or a related field.
Minimum of six months of experience in legal or regulatory compliance,



specifically involving administrative tasks like government document preparation.
Robust ability to quickly master new software, regulatory frameworks, and product specifications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have Prior experience preparing regulatory forms or declarations.
Familiarity with standard trade compliance processes.
Experience utilizing AI agents for research and operational tasks.

Practical notes Employment is contingent upon your eligibility to access technology controlled by U.S. export laws. Because this role involves access to sensitive information, you must meet citizenship or permanent residency requirements, or be able to obtain necessary license approvals from the U.S. Commerce Department or other relevant federal agencies. Offers will be rescinded if export law compliance cannot be met.
