Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator - Estimating will primarily support the estimating and pre-construction functions of the business, while also assisting with project coordination activities throughout project execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing tender documents, performing quantity take-offs, obtaining vendor and subcontractor pricing, preparing bid submissions, supporting change order pricing, and assisting with project planning, procurement, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.

What You’ll Do Here:
Estimating & Pre-Construction (Primary Focus)

Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements

Perform quantity take-offs and develop cost estimates

Obtain, evaluate, and coordinate vendor and subcontractor quotations

Assist in preparing and submitting bids, proposals, and tender packages

Support budget development, cost forecasting, and estimate tracking

Prepare pricing for change notices, change orders, and extra work requests

Participate in bid review and project handover meetings

Project Coordination & Construction Support

Assist Project Managers with project execution and coordination activities

Maintain project documentation, trackers, RFIs,



and drawing control logs

Coordinate procurement activities and purchase requisitions

Assist with project scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting

Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders

Attend project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on action items

Support project closeout documentation, including O&M; manuals and quality records

What You Bring to the Team

Technical diploma, engineering degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in estimating, project coordination, or a related construction role

Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents

Strong understanding of estimating, cost control, forecasting, and change management

Knowledge of utility, electrical, civil, or industrial construction projects is an asset

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project; SAP and estimating software experience are assets

Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Be a champion of inclusion and diversity

Any knowledge/ experience on Estimating Softwares but not required.

The expected pay range for this role is $58,000 - $70,000 per year

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience and unique skills.
