About the role As the Manager of Procurement Strategy for Protein at HelloFresh, you will play a crucial role in shaping our sourcing strategies to ensure we deliver high-quality protein options to our customers.

What you’ll do Develop and implement procurement strategies specifically for protein products, aligning with HelloFresh’s overall business objectives.
Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, pricing, and potential suppliers, ensuring that HelloFresh remains competitive in the protein market.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms that benefit both parties while ensuring quality and sustainability standards are met.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including culinary, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure that protein sourcing aligns with product development and customer expectations.
Monitor and analyze procurement performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in sourcing strategies.
Lead initiatives aimed at reducing costs and improving efficiency in the procurement process, while maintaining high standards of quality.




Stay informed about industry regulations and sustainability practices, ensuring that HelloFresh’s procurement strategies comply with legal and ethical standards.
Prepare and present reports to senior management on procurement performance, market trends, and strategic recommendations.
Mentor and develop a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Participate in industry events and networking opportunities to enhance HelloFresh’s presence in the protein sourcing community.
Drive innovation in sourcing practices, exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance procurement efficiency.
Ensure that all procurement activities align with HelloFresh’s commitment to sustainability and responsible sourcing.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a focus on protein or food products.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful procurement strategies that drive cost savings and quality improvements.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
Excellent analytical skills,



with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with procurement software and tools, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of sustainability practices and regulations in the food industry is highly desirable.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
A results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Nice to have Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience in the meal kit or food delivery industry.
Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, ISM).
Familiarity with data analytics tools and methodologies.
Experience working in a global procurement workplace.
Skills & tools Proficient in procurement management software and tools.
Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.
Knowledge of market research and supplier evaluation techniques.
