The company is now searching for its inaugural Talent Attractor who will approach recruitment through the lens of a high-velocity sales operation, cultivating awareness and sparking genuine interest among exceptional candidates in the market. This role functions as a growth marketing specialist dedicated entirely to the hiring pipeline, leveraging analytical insights and innovative outreach strategies to construct a robust and enduring talent acquisition engine. You will be instrumental in shaping how Relay attracts and engages the caliber of professionals needed to fuel continued expansion and success. What you'll do Architect and oversee a comprehensive talent demand funnel by pinpointing ideal candidate personas and determining which geographic and qualified markets deserve prioritized attention and resources.
Design and implement sophisticated outbound recruitment campaigns spanning LinkedIn, specialized industry platforms, employee referral programs, and strategic event participation while maintaining a sales-oriented methodology throughout all activities.
Incorporate artificial intelligence capabilities and automation technologies into daily workflows to dramatically scale outreach volume without sacrificing the personalized touch that resonates with high-caliber candidates.
Continuously track and analyze funnel performance metrics to detect precisely where prospective candidates disengage, then implement targeted interventions to boost conversion rates at each stage.
Commit to executing a minimum of one structured experiment every month, testing variables such as communication channels, messaging frameworks, audience targeting parameters, or timing strategies to discover what drives optimal results.
Collaborate closely with existing Talent Acquisition colleagues to ensure a seamless handoff of thoroughly vetted, interview-ready candidates who align with role requirements and company culture.
Build and maintain detailed documentation of sourcing strategies, campaign performance data, and lessons learned to create institutional knowledge that benefits the broader team.




Develop compelling employer branding content and candidate-facing materials that authentically communicate Relay's mission, values, and unique workplace culture to prospective hires.
Establish and nurture relationships with passive candidates over time, creating a warm pipeline of interested professionals who may be suitable for future opportunities.
Stay current on emerging recruitment technologies, industry best practices, and competitive talent landscape shifts to ensure Relay maintains an edge in attracting top performers.
Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership regarding pipeline health, market conditions, and recommendations for strategic adjustments to talent attraction efforts.
Contribute to broader People team initiatives and help shape the overall talent strategy as the organization continues its growth trajectory.
Requirements Minimum of three years of professional experience in talent sourcing, full-cycle recruiting, outbound sales development, demand generation marketing, or growth marketing disciplines with demonstrated success.
Demonstrated capability to manage a substantial pipeline while consistently achieving a target of seventy-five to one hundred high-quality outbound candidate contacts weekly.
Established history of generating response rates at or above thirty-three percent through compelling outreach and strategic targeting approaches.
Strong orientation toward performance measurement, including maintaining recruiter pass-through rates between thirty-five and forty percent and achieving role calibration within a five-day window for newly opened positions.
Proficiency in utilizing data analytics to systematically evaluate sourcing effectiveness and implement evidence-based improvements to processes and tactics.
Comfort operating within a dynamic, fast-moving environment where individual accountability and ownership of outcomes are fundamental expectations.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with the capacity to craft messages that capture attention and inspire action from busy professionals.
Natural curiosity and willingness to continuously learn, adapt, and refine approaches based on feedback and changing market conditions.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple active searches and campaigns simultaneously without letting quality suffer.




Nice to have Previous experience working within a high-growth startup or scale-up environment where building processes from scratch was necessary and expected.
Familiarity with technical recruiting or experience sourcing candidates for engineering, product, or design functions specifically.
Background in the fintech, banking, or financial services sectors with understanding of the unique talent pools and competitive dynamics involved.
Experience building or contributing to employer branding initiatives that elevated company visibility among target candidate populations.
Knowledge of Canadian labor market dynamics and talent availability across major metropolitan areas.
Certification or formal training in recruitment methodologies, sales techniques, or marketing automation platforms.

Practical notes The interview process encompasses four distinct stages designed to thoroughly evaluate fit and capabilities. Initially, candidates participate in a forty-five-minute conversation with the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition to discuss background and alignment.
Subsequently, a forty-five-minute session with a senior team member explores relevant experience and approach in greater depth.
The third stage involves a sixty-minute live exercise conducted alongside the Talent Acquisition team to observe practical skills in action.
Finally, a forty-five-minute in-person values interview with company leadership assesses cultural alignment and long-term potential.
