Manager, Property Accounting at Clvgroup About the role As the Manager of Property Accounting at Clvgroup, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations related to property management. This position requires a robust understanding of accounting principles, particularly as they pertain to real estate. What you'll do Supervise and mentor a team of property accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements for multiple properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and financial reporting.
Coordinate with property management teams to ensure timely and accurate billing, collections, and disbursements related to property operations.
Conduct regular audits of financial records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with senior management, providing insights on financial performance and variances.
Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process and addressing any issues that arise.




Monitor cash flow and financial performance, providing recommendations for improvements and cost-saving measures.
Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact property accounting practices.
Assist in the integration of current accounting software and tools to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
Prepare detailed reports for senior management and stakeholders, summarizing financial performance and key metrics.
Participate in strategic planning sessions, contributing financial insights to support business decisions and growth initiatives.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting or real estate finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in the context of property management.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Yardi or similar property management systems is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of developing and mentoring staff.
Exceptional communication skills,



both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and build effective relationships with stakeholders.
Nice to have Experience in the real estate industry, particularly in residential or commercial property management.
Familiarity with Canadian tax regulations and compliance requirements related to property accounting.
Knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
Previous experience with system implementation or upgrades in an accounting context.
Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
