We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Control Specialist to join our Quality team. Working closely with engineering, procurement, and our suppliers, you will play a key role in ensuring that hydroelectric components and equipment meet customer requirements, international standards, and ANDRITZ's high standards.
This position is part of a long-term career path within complex and stimulating projects.
The following responsibilities form the core of this role in our Canadian team.
Analyze technical documents (specifications, drawings, inspection and test plans) to ensure clear and complete communication of quality requirements to suppliers
Oversee the implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
Perform and coordinate supplier inspections, including customer hold points
Manage quality records and reports
Monitor supplier non-conformances and lead corrective and preventive actions
Conduct in-depth root cause analyses (8D / RCA)
Participate in supplier qualification and quality audits
Take part in design reviews with suppliers

Technical Skills
Technical education in metallurgy, mechanical, or industrial fields
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or mechanical manufacturing supervision
Strong ability to read mechanical drawings
Solid experience in welded assembly inspections
Knowledge of CWB, ASME and NACE / AMPP standards
Proficiency with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Basic knowledge of non-destructive testing (UT, MT, PT)
Familiarity with automated measurement systems (CMM, FARO, laser tracker - an asset)
Strong experience in quality control of machined parts
Personal Skills
Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset
Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
Autonomous, team-oriented, and solution-driven
Availability to travel within Canada and internationally
Functional proficiency in spoken and written (French / English)
High level of professional integrity
