School District No. 43 (Coquitlam) Invites applications for the position of:
ELECTRICIAN
Temporary Full Time, Afternoon Shift (16:15-23:45, 40 hours a week)
Coquitlam School District invites applications from individuals for the position of temporary Electrician. As the third largest school district in the province, we are located within a 40- minute drive from downtown Vancouver. The school district has a population of 34,000 students with approximately 4,400 teaching, administrative, managerial and support staff.
Working under the direction of the Manager of Maintenance and the Trades Supervisor Electrical, this position completes electrical tasks with a minimum of supervision.
DUTIES:
Performing LED upgrades on multiple sites.
Removing old fixtures and replacing them with recent or retrofitting existing fixtures and adding lighting controls.
Other electrical duties as required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Trades qualification BCTQ as an Electrician
Valid BC Driver's License
Recent related experience
Excellent troubleshooting skills
This is a unionized position which offers $41.50/hour (40 hours/week), plus 16% in lieu of benefits.
