Growth Marketer at alan About the role Alan is actively growing its presence in the Canadian market and is seeking a driven, execution-focused marketer to establish and optimize inbound marketing engines that transform market engagement into high-quality sales opportunities. In this position, you will partner closely with the Head of Growth to orchestrate content initiatives, marketing campaigns, and event-related activities within a dynamic early-stage market context. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape marketing strategy from the ground up while directly contributing to pipeline development and revenue growth in a rapidly expanding territory.
Location: Toronto, ON, Canada (King & Yonge area in the financial district)
Engagement: Full-time, On-site position requiring 4-5 days per week in office
Compensation: Competitive base salary combined with equity participation (grid level B1-C0)

What you’ll do Create, curate, and distribute compelling content across multiple digital platforms and social media channels, thoughtfully adapting global brand messaging to resonate with Canadian audiences and market nuances.
Design, build, and continuously optimize landing pages that drive conversions, while executing sophisticated retargeting campaigns and closely monitoring performance metrics to maximize return on investment.
Establish comprehensive tracking infrastructure including UTM parameters, pixel implementation, and tagging systems to deliver transparent, actionable data on lead attribution and source quality for the sales organization.
Own the complete event marketing lifecycle, handling everything from building registration pages and managing attendee communications to coordinating logistics and executing multi-touch digital follow-up sequences after events conclude.
Transform insights gathered from events, sales conversations, and market feedback into reusable content assets and campaign materials that support ongoing demand generation efforts.
Collaborate directly with the sales team to ensure that inbound interest and marketing-generated leads are effectively nurtured and converted into scheduled demonstrations and measurable pipeline growth.
Experiment with new channels, messaging approaches, and campaign formats to identify scalable growth opportunities specific to the Canadian market landscape.




Develop and maintain marketing dashboards and regular reporting cadences to communicate campaign performance, lead quality metrics, and marketing contribution to business objectives.
Support the development of thought leadership content and brand awareness initiatives that position Alan as a trusted voice in the Canadian benefits and healthcare technology space.
Identify partnership and co-marketing opportunities with complementary organizations to expand reach and accelerate market penetration.
Contribute to the refinement of ideal customer profiles and buyer personas based on campaign performance data and sales feedback loops.
Manage relationships with external vendors, freelancers, or agencies as needed to supplement internal marketing capabilities and scale content production.
Requirements Between 4 and 8 years of professional experience in growth marketing, demand generation, digital marketing, or content marketing roles, ideally gained within startup or scale-up environments where agility and ownership were essential.
Demonstrated history of designing and executing marketing campaigns that directly resulted in measurable lead generation, sales conversations, and pipeline contribution rather than purely brand-focused initiatives.
Exceptional writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex information, technical concepts, and diverse inputs into clear, compelling narratives that engage target audiences.
Deep proficiency in managing end-to-end campaign tracking, attribution modeling, and performance reporting using modern marketing technology stacks.
Self-directed working style with the ability to thrive independently in unstructured, ambiguous, early-market environments where playbooks are being written in real time.
Strong organizational capabilities and the capacity to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, projects, and priorities without sacrificing quality or losing forward momentum.
Comfort with data-driven decision making and the ability to translate analytics into actionable marketing insights and strategic recommendations.




Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with experience working closely alongside sales teams to align marketing activities with revenue objectives.
Nice to have Previous experience marketing B2B software, insurance products, employee benefits solutions, or healthcare technology to Canadian businesses.
Familiarity with the Canadian employer advantages landscape and understanding of how HR leaders and benefits administrators evaluate and purchase solutions.
Experience with specific marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, or analytics tools commonly used in growth marketing technology stacks.
Background in account-based marketing strategies or experience targeting specific company segments with personalized campaign approaches.
Bilingual capabilities in English and French to support potential expansion into Quebec markets.
Prior experience building marketing functions or processes from scratch in new market entries or early-stage company environments.
