NLSchools is a branch of the Department of Education - Government of Newfoundland and Labrador administering primary, elementary and secondary educational services throughout the province. It provides educational services to approximately 65,000 school age children, from K-12, and covers the entire province.
NLSchools is seeking applications for permanent substitute positions in areas that are remote and/or have a low substitute pool. These permanent substitutes will support a school or system of schools within a geographical area and provide support as required, i.e. serving as replacements for vacancies, absences, and assignment of other teaching and learning duties as required. The sub will be allocated to one school location but will service other schools within that system.
If selected for an interview, candidates should be prepared to speak about their experience and demonstrated competencies in relation to the 8 Standards of Practice for Classroom Teachers (outlined below):

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have successfully completed the appropriate Bachelor of Education program and possess an NL Teaching Certificate - Level IV or higher
Annual Teacher Salary Scale contained within the NLTA Provincial Collective Agreement and benefits contained within the agreement.
