About the role As the Responsable de la gamme de produits at Smardt, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our product line within the HVAC industry. Your expertise will guide the development and execution of product strategies that align with market demands and company goals. What you'll do Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conception through development to market launch, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and marketing, to develop comprehensive product strategies that enhance market competitiveness.
Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape, using insights to inform product development.
Develop and maintain product specifications, ensuring that all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Create and manage product roadmaps, prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer feedback and business impact.
Lead product training sessions for sales teams, equipping them with the necessary knowledge to effectively promote and sell the product line.
Monitor product performance metrics post-launch, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries, providing expert guidance to both internal teams and external stakeholders.




Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns that effectively communicate product benefits to target audiences.
Manage relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure timely delivery of product components and maintain quality standards.
Prepare and present product performance reports to senior management, highlighting successes and areas for growth.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement within the product line.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management or a related role, preferably within the HVAC or manufacturing sectors.
Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products throughout their lifecycle.
Robust analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with regulatory standards and quality assurance processes relevant to product development.
Ability to think strategically while also being detail-oriented,



ensuring both the big picture and finer details are addressed.
Nice to have Experience with digital marketing strategies and tools, particularly in the context of product promotion.
Knowledge of sustainable practices and technologies within the HVAC industry.
Proficiency in additional languages, which can enhance communication with international clients and partners.
Previous experience working in a global or multicultural environment, providing insight into diverse market needs.
Skills & tools Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello).
Familiarity with product management software (e.g., Aha!, Productboard) to streamline product development processes.
Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau) to track product performance and market trends.
Ability to utilize CRM systems effectively for managing customer relationships and feedback.
Practical notes This position is based in Dorval, Quebec, and may require occasional travel for market research, customer visits, or industry events.
