Regulatory & Environmental Compliance Specialist at Nureva About the role Nureva is seeking a dedicated Regulatory & Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team in Calgary, Alberta. This position is integral to ensuring that our products and operations adhere to all relevant regulations and environmental standards. What’ll do Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of applicable regulatory requirements and environmental standards relevant to Nureva's products and operations.
Conduct thorough assessments of current practices and processes to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, operations, and quality assurance, to integrate compliance considerations into all stages of product lifecycle management.
Prepare and submit necessary documentation to regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of compliance status.
Monitor changes in legislation and industry standards, providing updates and recommendations to senior management and relevant teams.
Conduct training sessions and workshops for employees to enhance awareness and understanding of compliance obligations and best practices.




Lead internal audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with established policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement.
Develop and implement corrective action plans in response to compliance audits or regulatory findings, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies during inspections and audits, facilitating communication and documentation as required.
Support the development of sustainability initiatives and environmental management programs that align with Nureva's corporate goals.
Assist in the preparation of environmental impact assessments and sustainability reports, showcasing Nureva's commitment to responsible practices.
Engage with external stakeholders, including industry groups and regulatory bodies, to advocate for best practices in compliance and sustainability.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in environmental science, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance or environmental management, preferably within the technology or manufacturing sectors.
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance frameworks, including ISO standards and local environmental legislation.




Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable compliance strategies.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, fostering positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Robust organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
Proficiency in using compliance management software and tools, as well as standard office applications.
Nice to have Certification in regulatory affairs or environmental management (e.g., CRE, CERP, or similar).
Experience with product safety regulations and standards applicable to electronic devices.
Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI or CDP.
Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and tools.
Experience in conducting training and awareness programs related to compliance and environmental practices.
