OverviewApply for Project Manager/Leader at SOFTLINE TECHNOLOGY in Toronto, ON, CA. This full‐time onsite position offers great opportunities for growth opportunities.ResponsibilitiesProvide project management for various high‐profile projects within the branch and ensure deliverables meet clients' business requirements on time, scope and budget while focusing on cost‐effectiveness, efficiencies and compliance with OPS project management methodologies.Interact with senior staff and external partners, manage relationships, and lead organizational development, strategy development, business planning and ministry funding requests.Gather and develop requirements, create detailed project schedules and integrated plans, and identify team members, clarify roles and set task/performance expectations for OPS unionized employees and FFS consultants.Resolve resourcing and interpersonal conflicts, negotiate changes, and ensure knowledge is shared among team members.Develop complex project budgets, manage large project budgets, estimate forecasts and reconcile actuals, and maintain fiscal control and accountability.Use ministry project management tools for recording and reporting data, and participate in team meetings.Create and update Integrated Project Management Plans (IPPs), adjust them per change requests, and manage project progress, critical path activities and report on slippage.Prepare overall project status and progress reports for executives and stakeholders, identify and manage issues, create issue logs, and proactively identify risks.Articulate issues and risks at senior executive levels, recommend mitigation strategies, review change requests, and prepare change request reports for the Change Control Board.Prepare business transformation and adoption plans, produce knowledge transfer documentation, and participate in steering committees and stakeholder forums.Provide portfolio reporting to senior executives, use strategies to overcome resistance to change,
promote OPS I&IT standards, adopt the unified methodology and the e‐Health Ontario gating process.Demonstrate team‐player skills with a track record for meeting deadlines.QualificationsOver 10years of project management experience leading complex, mission‐critical projects or initiatives involving business transformation, design, development, implementation and integration of IT solutions and services, including web‐based applications, cloud services and APIs.Over 10years experience with the Software Development Life Cycle following Waterfall, DevOps, Agile or iterative methodologies and practices.Experience working with business analysts and system designers to define scope, translate requirements into design, and lead cross‐functional teams.Experience developing detailed project schedules, timelines, resources and integrated plans.Business process transformation and re‐engineering experience to promote cost‐effective service delivery.Skilled in identifying, articulating and prioritising issues and risks at senior executive levels.Strong experience with stakeholder forums, working groups and reporting.Excellent problem‐solving, decision‐making, communication and negotiation skills.Project Management Skilled (PMP) designation desirable.Technical Experience / Knowledge (50%)10+ years designing,
implementing and integrating web‐based applications and/or cloud micro‐services using full‐stack Java or Microsoft .NET technologies.7+ years of Agile project management and development practices; Scrum Master certification preferred.Familiar with business architecture techniques: functional modelling, service lifecycle modelling, business event modelling, process mapping, process re‐engineering.Experience with JAD sessions and translating stakeholder needs into User Stories, Epics and Story Maps.Knowledge of information management principles, policies and practices.Experience with integrated change control processes and project management software such as MS Project, Planview, Jira or Microsoft DevOps Azure.Experience implementing web applications using cloud platforms (MS Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker) and servers such as Solaris, RedHat, IBMWAS8.0+, IBMCloudPak.Experience with Digital Health Standards, including HL7 FHIR.Healthcare Experience (30%)7+ years working with federal, provincial or public‐sector healthcare providers.Knowledge of Public Sector Enterprise Architecture artifacts, processes and practices.Experience with Public Sector I&IT project methodology, e‐Health Ontario projects and Ministry policy and IT approval processes.Understanding of Ontario's FIPPA, MFIPPA, PHIPA and associated regulations.Experience delivering large complex IT health‐related projects and public‐facing services.Knowledge of GO‐ITS Digital Health standards and internal branch standards.General Skills (15%)Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRLJMC) or recent security clearance certificate.Strong leadership, collaboration, people‐management, analytical, problem‐solving, decision‐making, communication and presentation skills.Exceptional troubleshooting, critical thinking, listening, consulting, facilitation, negotiation and customer‐service skills.Motivated, flexible, detail‐oriented, creative, persistent and organized with a proven track record for meeting strict deadlines.Closing DateJuly31,202612:00p.M.
