Trade Operations & Certifications Specialist at Tenstorrent. What you’ll do Lead the entire product certification and regulatory approval workflow for applicable markets and regional authorities.
Facilitate collaboration among Sales, Systems Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, and external certification bodies to ensure adherence to project timelines.
Proactively identify and address any challenges that may hinder certification processes, promptly escalating issues and keeping leadership informed about potential risks.
Ensure that all products comply with local import, export, and regulatory requirements to support global deployments and facilitate revenue recognition.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of certification processes, including timelines, requirements, and compliance checks.
Conduct regular audits of certification processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure ongoing compliance with evolving regulations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for external certification agencies, fostering solid relationships to expedite approval processes.
Monitor changes in regulatory landscapes and communicate relevant updates to internal stakeholders to ensure compliance.
Develop and implement training programs for internal teams regarding certification requirements and best practices.
Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to provide necessary certification information that supports product launches and customer inquiries.
Analyze certification data and metrics to provide insights and recommendations for process enhancements.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to align certification strategies with overall business objectives.
Requirements Proven experience in product certification, trade compliance, or regulatory affairs, with a solid understanding of global import/export regulations and agency approval processes.
Strong ability to coordinate efforts across various departments, ensuring alignment among Sales, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, and external certification agencies.
A proactive mindset with exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of identifying potential issues early and driving effective solutions independently.
Excellent attention to detail coupled with robust project management capabilities, enabling you to manage multiple certification programs, timelines, and associated risks concurrently.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex regulatory information to diverse audiences.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on compliance and quality.
Nice to have Familiarity with industry-specific certification standards and practices, particularly in technology or electronics.
Experience working with international regulatory bodies and understanding their certification processes.
Previous involvement in cross-border trade compliance initiatives or export control regulations.
Knowledge of software tools that facilitate project management and compliance tracking.
A background in engineering or a related technical field, providing a deeper understanding of product specifications and requirements.
Skills & tools Proficient in project management software and tools that assist in tracking certification processes and timelines.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance databases and documentation management systems.
Strong analytical skills to assess certification data and derive actionable insights.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
