Senior Enterprise Account Executive - Canada at DoorDash Canada About the role DoorDash is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Enterprise Account Executive to lead efforts in establishing and expanding partnerships with leading restaurant brands across Canada. This role involves developing recent business opportunities and strengthening existing relationships to drive mutual growth. The successful candidate will possess a strong sales background, ideally with experience in the restaurant or marketplace sectors, and will be adept at creating strategic proposals that align with both DoorDash's objectives and our partners' needs. You will work closely with internal teams such as Finance, Merchant Selection, Marketing, and Ads & Promotions to identify opportunities, craft tailored solutions, and ensure the successful execution of partnerships. What you'll do Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Merchant Selection, Marketing, and Ads & Promotions to develop comprehensive proposals that enhance performance and profitability for both DoorDash and its restaurant partners.
Manage the entire sales process for assigned opportunities, from prospecting to closing, ensuring clear and consistent communication with merchants and internal teams throughout the partnership lifecycle.
Use data-driven insights and analytics to influence decision-making, developing compelling business cases that highlight growth potential and operational efficiencies.
Partner with Engagement Managers to optimize existing partnerships by identifying areas for improvement and expansion, and to uncover new business opportunities based on market trends and merchant needs.
Build and nurture relationships with key restaurant brands, understanding their unique challenges and aligning DoorDash's solutions to meet their strategic goals.
Track and report on sales activities, pipeline development, and key performance metrics to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies,
and competitor strategies, applying this knowledge to identify new opportunities for growth.
Represent DoorDash at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to increase brand visibility and establish strategic connections within the restaurant and marketplace sectors.
Develop tailored presentations and proposals for prospective partners, demonstrating the value of DoorDash's platform and services.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and integration of new partners, providing ongoing support to maximize their success on the platform.
Monitor partnership performance and collaborate with internal teams to implement strategies that improve merchant satisfaction and retention.
Contribute to the development of sales strategies and best practices to enhance team effectiveness and achieve company growth objectives.
Requirements Minimum of 4 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, account management, client success, or sales roles with a proven track record of success.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and close complex deals.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights; advanced proficiency in Excel is required.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with senior stakeholders and build long-term relationships.
Proven success in managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification to closing and post-sales support.
Experience working with restaurant brands, marketplaces, or logistics companies is a plus.
Self-motivated and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and customer needs.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate tracking of sales activities and performance metrics.
Knowledge of the Canadian restaurant landscape and familiarity with local market dynamics is advantageous.
Nice to have Bilingual proficiency in English and French, enabling communication with a broader range of partners across Canada.
Experience working in high-growth or early-stage startup environments, demonstrating agility and adaptability.
Familiarity with logistics, marketplace operations, or unit economics to better understand partner needs and operational challenges.
Knowledge of SQL or other data querying tools to enhance data analysis capabilities.
Experience with AI tools for workflow automation, data enrichment, or sales enablement to improve efficiency and insights.
Prior exposure to the food delivery or hospitality industry, providing contextual understanding of partner challenges and opportunities.
Skills & tools Proficiency in Excel for managing complex spreadsheets, data analysis, and reporting.
Experience with sales and CRM tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and Google Apps for managing pipelines and communication.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and deliver persuasive pitches.
Familiarity with AI tools used for workflow automation and data enrichment to streamline sales processes.
Adaptability to new technologies and willingness to continuously learn and improve sales techniques.
Practical notes Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. The compensation package includes a base salary and potential sales commissions. The base salary ranges from $150,000 to $187,500 USD, with total on-target earnings (including commissions) reaching between $200,000 and $250,000 CAD. DoorDash offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan with employer matching.
