What you'll do Provide one‑on‑one support and guidance to individuals within the 2SLGBTQ+ community, helping them navigate personal challenges and access necessary resources.
Facilitate group sessions and workshops that promote awareness, acceptance, and understanding of 2SLGBTQ+ issues, fostering a sense of belonging among participants.
Collaborate with local organizations, community groups, and service providers to enhance the support network available to 2SLGBTQ+ individuals.
Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage marginalized members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, ensuring their voices are heard and represented.
Conduct assessments to identify the needs of individuals and tailor support services accordingly, ensuring a personalized approach to care.




Advocate for policy changes and community initiatives that promote equality and inclusivity for 2SLGBTQ+ individuals.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress, adhering to privacy regulations and organizational policies.
Participate in training and career development opportunities to stay informed about best practices in support work and 2SLGBTQ+ issues.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support for clients, sharing insights and strategies to enhance service delivery.
Organize community events and activities that celebrate 2SLGBTQ+ identities and promote social cohesion.
Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, ensuring individuals have access to immediate assistance during challenging times.
Engage in ongoing evaluation of program effectiveness, gathering feedback from participants to inform future initiatives and improvements.
Requirements A degree or diploma in social work, psychology, or a related field, with a focus on community support or mental health.
A minimum of two years of experience working with 2SLGBTQ+ populations or in a related support role.
Strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by 2SLGBTQ+ individuals, including issues related to discrimination, mental health, and social isolation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse clients.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem‑solving skills.




Familiarity with community resources and services available to 2SLGBTQ+ individuals in Vancouver.
Commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and social justice within the community.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with case management software.
Nice to have Experience in program development and implementation, particularly in the context of community support services.
Knowledge of trauma‑informed care principles and practices.
Fluency in a second language, particularly languages commonly spoken within the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Vancouver.
Previous experience in crisis intervention or mental health support.
Familiarity with grant writing or fundraising for community programs.
Active involvement in 2SLGBTQ+ advocacy or community initiatives.
Skills & tools Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficient in using digital communication tools and platforms for outreach and engagement.
Familiarity with data collection and reporting tools to track program outcomes and client progress.
Competence in conflict resolution and mediation techniques.
Practical notes This position is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and may require occasional travel within the community for outreach and engagement activities.
