- Location: Greater Toronto Area or Greater Vancouver Area, Canada (Hybrid/Remote)
- Engagement: Full-Time Permanent

What you'll do

- Architect and maintain scalable data pipelines for operational and analytical needs.
- Build and refine ETL and ELT processes for diverse data sources.
- Coordinate with backend and platform teams to embed data pipelines into cloud applications.
- Oversee Big Query environments to maximize performance, cost-efficiency, and scale.
- Enforce data security, privacy, and governance standards.
- Partner with analytics teams to create data models and support self-service reporting.
- Maintain comprehensive data documentation, including lineage and metadata.
- Perform ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability.

Requirements

- 5+ years of professional data engineering experience on modern cloud platforms.
- Current Snow Pro certification.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data transformation and analytics.
- Strong Python skills for automation and data processing.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake,



including modeling, security, and performance tuning.
- Experience using dbt or equivalent analytics engineering tools.
- Familiarity with orchestration platforms like Apache Airflow or Dagster.
- Background in supporting AI, machine learning, or feature engineering workflows.
- Proven ability to work with distributed teams across North America and Latin America.
- Fluent English communication skills.

Nice to have

- Experience with Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark, or ML integration.
- Background in LLM-enabled analytics or GenAI use cases.
- Knowledge of Databricks or hybrid Snowflake/Databricks setups.
- Experience with real-time data pipelines.
- Proficiency in BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Infrastructure as Code skills using Terraform.
- Familiarity with marketing platforms, CDPs, or digital experience tools like Segment or Contentful.
