Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Aerospace Welder to join our team at our Richmond, BC facility.

In this role, you will be responsible for operating welding equipment effectively to support the repair and manufacture of aircraft components, tools and equipment. You will work in accordance with applicable procedures and instructions.

Location

- Currently based in Delta, BC.
- Relocating to Richmond, BC (YVR) by the end of January 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

- Use welding and brazing techniques, equipment and hand tools to repair,



overhaul and manufacture component and a/c structural parts.
- Manufacture tools and equipment to support operational requirements.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) manual specifications, service, bulletins, build sheets, quality procedures, airworthiness directives, company policy and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment through regular housekeeping and maintenance duties.
- Support operational requirements, which may include occasional international travel.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:

- Knowledge of AWS D17.1 and AWS D17.2.
- Experienced in GTAW (Tig welding).
- Experience with resistance spot welding and/or micro spot welding.
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings to plan welding sequences and fabricate within tight tolerances.
- Completion of a welding fundamentals program (Level B and Level C) at an approved technical college recognized by the Industry Trade Association (ITA) or 10+ years of GTAW experience.
- Ability to examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications, manuals, drawings and process documentation.
- Ability to maintain a Welding Shop Certification Authority, including scope for the applicable material groups.
- Must pass a visual acuity exam with corrected vision of 20/20 or better (e.g. with glasses or contacts on).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented and committed to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving workplace.

Eligibility

Applicants must have the legal right to work in Canada and meet any clearance requirements relevant to the role.

Salary Range

- $76,408- $91,274 based on experience and qualifications

Work Schedule

- Monday to Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m

Time Off

- 4 weeks' vacation starting with the option to purchase an additional week through payroll deduction
- 10 days sick leave
- 13 statutory holidays observed

Pension

- Manulife: mandatory 4% with Company matching 4%

Unionized Position

- Union dues are 1% of salary
