Your new role Weekly Responsibilities Maintain and report sales, starts, and closings (actuals + forecast) to leadership at weekly meetings.
Overseepliance with and provide financial guardrails for: - Speculative construction volume limits. - Financing capacity and covenant constraints.
Track variances versus plan in sales, starts, and closings.
Review and provide opinions for PSAs for land acquisition within 1 week of receipt whole process needs to be two weeks due to Adil and treasury/corporate accounting turnaround times.
If we are having conversations around the deal and market a week prior (VP/BP). A one day turn around to assess means dropping other priorities Review allocation journal entries Monthly Responsibilities Spend 1 day/month in office per region (walkthrough).
Maintain a 13-month rolling cashflow forecast and balance actuals vs forecast monthly.
Maintain and update Sales Variance Sheet and perform statistical sampling.
Ensure Lot Payouts/Lot Payables Sheet accuracy and ensure entry into Build
Base and Dynamics within 30 days of PSA.
Setup a monthly schedule for the automated release of the Budget Cost Report for all Multi Family Project and create a sustainable system to reduce conflict between PMO and Treasury on QS reporting for financing draws.
Publish and update Customer Acquisition Cost Report quarterly.
Quarterbacking for PSA milestones & processing review milestone payments by looking at the lot inventory and psa Quarterly Responsibilities Ensure that the Quarterly Divisional Meeting report is produced and submitted within 15 days of quarter end; produce the housing board package operational supplement based on this report. (working days vs. calendar) Submit Quarterly Unit Performance Report and housing board operational supplement.
Monthly UPR helps us establish the quarterly.(Micro vs.
Macro) Support Corporate KPIs variance reporting for board metrics.
Maintain/update SOPs for divisional finance processes.
Review procurement budget and perform delegated audit activities.
Review lot inventory with VP & EVP; perform business plan sensitivity analysis.
Review and sign off on a quarterly direct construction cost budget produced by Procurement.
Ensure that the audit activities as set out in the Procurement Delegation of Authority for the Business Partner Team are acted on quarterly.
Annual Responsibilities Prepare and present the division''s Annual Budget & Strategic Plan (5-Year Projections).
Support data collection for insurance renewal 120 days in advance.
Deliver cross-functional training on finance systems and processes.
What you''ll need to succeed For this role you will need a CPA designation and a background either in an Accounting Manager/ Controller role or in cost accounting or a Finance Business Partner position.
You will need to think like an operator as opposed to an accountant and bemercially minded as well as have the required technical accounting knowledge and experience.
