Pembina West Co-op - Barrhead, ABBarrhead, AB, CANDescriptionPembina West Co-op is hirning a Petroleum Division Manager to work out of their office in Barrhead, AB.The Petroleum Division Manager will focus on building public awareness and profitability of our Petroleum Department. This individual will identify areas of financial and operational concern and will work with our petroleum team to correct these deficiencies by demonstrating day-to-day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen the Co‐operative's vision, mission, values, brand, and a focus on safety.The Petroleum Division Manager is part of the Petroleum Team and reports directly to the Petroleum Director. The Petroleum Division Manager will work in concert with the Petroleum Team as well as Controller, Human Resource's, and Loss Prevention Managers to ensure the optimal operation of the petroleum department.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES PILLARSPrimary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:People:Provide directions to team members and enforce employee productivity targets for the departmentFoster an atmosphere of employee engagement by sharing goals, plans and results consistently with your entire teamCelebrate successes and acknowledge a job well doneLead, reward and discipline all team members in accordance with Pembina West Co-op policies and proceduresCoordinate and attend regular Team meetings and review operational concerns and opportunitiesGuide team members through training as requiredEnsure all legislated training is completed by all employees as required. (TDG, WHIMIS ETC)Assist in the development of annual work plans for all team membersSemi Annually Review the progress of each team member; recognize their achievements and guide them through required areas of developmentProvide leadership in the roll-out and implementation of new and existing programsPlan and coordinate commodity-specific courses and seminars for team members with HRIdentify training needs the department and work with the Human Resources Department to complete an annual Team Training & Development PlanIdentify candidates for potential future development and make Human Resources Department aware of these individualsMarket:Work with the Petroleum Team as well as our Marketing and Media Coordinator's to help create an annual Petroleum Marketing PlanBe a liaison and public relations representative for the Co-op within the communities we serve, by delivering world-class customer service that is fast, friendly and efficientExemplify the Co-op brand personality; strive to be Friendly, Caring, Proud, Authentic, Trusted, Honest, Successful and Knowledgeable in each interaction with our members, customers, employees, suppliers, and stakeholdersPromote our Co-op brand values: Locally Invested,

Put together a product and services package that is to be delivered to farmers and commercial businesses and used as talking points for your visitsOperations:Review your Strategic Plan Scorecard quarterly with all Team Members and identify efficienciesWorking with the Petroleum Team Leaders to implement operational improvementsWork with Petroleum Team Leaders to create an Annual SWOT analysisWork with Team Leaders to complete and annually update your 5-year Strategic PlanCommunicate regularly with appropriate Team Members to ensure best practices are being adhered to and each department is achieving, at a minimum, CRS system averages (SPEH, Truck Efficiencies, Liters per employee hour ETC)Identify innovation taking place in individual stores, and share knowledge between managersInform Petroleum Director of retail operational issues and feedbackAct as liaison between our locations and FCL region office regarding ordering, claims, pricing, customer service, product and quality issues, program communication and general troubleshootingProvide timely communication with our locations through e-mails, telephone calls, conference calls, clinics and one-on-one meetings during store visitationsHandle employee complaints and incidents, including conflict resolution, accidents, health and safety concerns, work refusals, and investigationsRecommended time allocation 40% gas bar, 25% sales team, 25% Whitecourt, and 10% Mayerthorpe/Westlock/BarrheadIdentify opportunities and deficiencies on sales, margins, expense control, inventory controls, merchandising, marketing standards,
