Position DescriptionThe Department of Political Science invites applications for a full‐time tenure‐stream assistant professor position focused on American Politics. The appointment rank is Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027. Location: St. George (Downtown Toronto) campus.Requirements and QualificationsPhD in Political Science or a closely related discipline (or expected completion shortly thereafter).Demonstrated excellence in research and teaching, with publications in top‐ranked or field‐relevant journals, conference presentations, and strong faculty endorsements.Special interest in democracy in the United States and empirical research on American institutions or behavior.Teaching record and dossier showing accomplishments and a commitment to high‐quality instruction.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain an creative, independently funded research program.Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in line with departmental priorities.Fulfill service and administrative duties as assigned.Salary RangeExpected salary $120,000–$160,000 CAD per annum,
