Join our award‐winning team and make a difference that defines you.RVA is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their Land Development team in a full‐time position out of their Barrie office. In this role, you will be responsible for business development and managing land development projects within the greater Ottawa area and working with staff throughout the firm to complete project work.DutiesWork with our Regional Manager to lead the growth of the Land Development practice in the Barrie area through Business Development initiatives and Management of Land Development ProjectsLiaise with existing clients and develop future new clients, support pursuits and proposals, and monitor budgets and schedulesManage tasks, team, schedules, budgets, cost control processes and project work proceduresSupport and contribute to Land Development project work undertaken from other RVA office locations or led by other RVA disciplinesIdentify and manage project issues and risks and, if needed, enhance resolution or actions; collaborate with other offices for project resourcesProject manage and/or technically support the design team and oversee projects and project performancePrepare and/or review detail design drawings, calculations, reports, technical specifications, and proposalsPreparation of proposal in response to RFPs,



including input for the development of engineering budgets and schedulesEnsure projects adhere to professional standards and RVA's Project Quality Management System (PQMS). This includes participation in interdisciplinary review of project deliverablesLiaise with client, suppliers, regulatory agencies, utility companies and contractors; represent RVA in professional associations and agenciesMentoring and coaching project teams including technical and field staffOther duties as assigned and appropriate for this positionQualificationsMust be licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) within the province of Ontario10 plus years progressive experience in Land Development engineering with at least 5 years working in a consultancyLand Development Project Experience within the Barrie areaStrong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clientsOperates as a self‐starter, taking initiative to drive pursuits and projects forward, within a collaborative team frameworkExperience or aptitude for meeting timelines and budgets, proposal writing, client development and other skills appropriate to consultingProven capabilities in writing reports and other technical documentsFamiliar with local design and construction standards and requirements for permits and approvalsDemonstrates superior oral and written English communication skillsStrong ability to work in a collaborative, team environmentBenefitsCompetitive compensation packages and performance‐based bonusesHealth, paramedical, vision,
