Role Overview: We are seeking a Reinsurance Underwriting Analyst to support the strategy, execution, and administration of reinsurance agreements.

This role blends analytical work with relationship management and offers opportunities to learn and grow in the reinsurance field.

Key Responsibilities: Partner with the VP of Reinsurance Management to develop treaty-level reinsurance strategies that align with business goals.

Optimize treaty structures and coverage scope to best serve business needs.

Manage all stages of reinsurance agreements data gathering, partner communication, negotiation, contract development, execution, and documentation.

Collaborate with analytics teams to incorporate data insights into decision-making.

Collect, validate, and analyze exposure and experience data from business units.

Coordinate and oversee data calls, ensuring accuracy for pricing and treaty purposes.

Maintain strong relationships with business units, cedents, reinsurers, and brokers.





Record treaty details in internal systems and coordinate with Finance for smooth processing.

Support treaty premium planning and analysis.

Monitor and ensure compliance with treaty contracts.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree.

Minimum 6 years of experience in the insurance industry of Canada.

Strong communication (written and verbal) with the ability to engage senior management.

Ability to work across multiple business units and build robust partnerships.

Proficiency in handling technical details and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications: Reinsurance experience in Canada. CPCU or similar insurance designation.

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.

Advanced knowledge of reinsurance contracts.

Negotiation and business partnering experience.
