The Opportunity Reporting to the Manager of Food Services and under the direct supervision of the Food Services Supervisor, the General Worker distributes par-stock items to units; assists in the simple preparation and portioning of food as per duty lists; replenishes stock; assists in cleaning throughout the department; serves, takes orders and distributes meals to patients; and works as part of a team in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of the service.





Hours of Work Shifts range from 3.0to 11.25 hours.

Monday-Sunday, days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.24 hour operation.

Flexible hours and backshifts are required.

Your Qualifications High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.

Recent experience/training in a food service setting is preferred.

Food Handlers Course required (or willingness to maintain within one year of hire). WHMIS required (or willingness to maintain within six months of hire).

Must have demonstrated teamwork, interpersonal, and communication (both verbal & written) skills.

Must have strong customer service skills.

Competencies in other languages an asset.
