Your newpany A leading Real Estate Development and Managementpany in Edmonton has an immediate requirement for a new Financial reporting Manager.
Your new role Responsible for collecting andpiling internal and external financial reporting.
Review of quarterly and annual consolidated and legal entity financial statements, including note disclosures, working papers, and other publicpany filings, including Operations Reports with strong attention to detail and in accordance with ASPE.
Ensure accounting practices are appropriate, well implemented, andply with accepted policies and procedures.
Ensurepliance with all reporting lenders requirements, file quarterly forms according to the financial covenants set out in each loan agreement.
Responsible for analyzing and interpreting results including Actuals, Forecasts and Budgets includingparing budget/forecast to actual, KPIs, key business drivers and trends, overheads, business development activities and market conditions.
Assist in preparation for and coordination with external auditors for all annual financial reporting periods.
Responsible for researching and determining the appropriate ASPE accounting treatment forplex transactions, including preparation of accounting memos and appropriate note disclosures.
Research, assess and document current accounting principles and the effect of new pronouncements on thepany.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
What you''ll need to succeed Ideally, you will have a big firm public accounting background, hold your CPA designation already, and have supervised at least 5 junior team members in the past.
You will, of course, have strong technical accounting andmunication skills too.
