Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Duration: + Months Analytical and technical Business Analyst to join our Commercial Risk Data Analytics team.

In this role, you will sit at the intersection of business and technology, driving a key data transformation project.

You will map end-to-end data flows, unpack complex external contracts, and trace regulatory reporting data back to its source to ensure complete auditability, accuracy, and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and support requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation across business and technology stakeholders Perform data analysis and deep-dive investigations to identify root causes, data issues, and process gaps Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements (business, functional, and data-focused) Partner with cross-functional teams (Risk, Finance, Technology) to resolve complex issues and support delivery Support impact assessments, change management, and implementation activities Must haves SQL capabilities are mandatory for end-to-end data validation and complex querying.

Professional proficiency in Python will be considered as an alternative.

Proven experience operating as a Technical or Data Business Analyst within highly regulated, complex, large-scale enterprise environments.





Robust data analysis capabilities (ability to work with large datasets, investigate discrepancies, and derive insights) Experience in investigations and root cause analysis, particularly in data or reporting processes Background in Risk Management and/or M&A; environments Comfortable working with regulatory, financial, or risk reporting data Nice to Have: Hands-on experience in Netezza database environments.

Familiarity with risk reporting, credit risk data, or regulatory frameworks Exposure to Agile delivery environments and tooling (, JIRA) Core Competencies: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills able to bridge business and technical teams Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, traceability, and auditability Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment Mindlance is an equal opportunity employer.
