Job Description Vortex Strategy & Recruitment is actively seeking a Training Specialist for its client, a highly reputable national law firm located in downtown Montreal.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources.

They will be responsible for the training program in the Montreal office, including training for new employees, technical training and updates, as well as training related to the deployment of new software.

They will also act as a resource person for short, ad hoc refresher training sessions based on employees needs.

The incumbent may also be called upon to contribute to national training initiatives and should enjoy taking on new challenges.

Your Role and Responsibilities Provide training and ongoing support to employees and legal professionals regarding computer equipment and technology, including troubleshooting software-related issues.

Develop strong knowledge of various software applications and keep that knowledge current, implement customized training programs for Montreal office personnel, create reference materials, prepare training schedules, and perform related tasks.

Deliver orientation sessions for new personnel, including legal professionals and employees, explain the firms policies, and prepare the required documentation.

Prepare and maintain detailed training plans, exercises, documentation on available resources, evaluation forms, correspondence, as well as self-directed training and professional development materials.

Maintain regular communication with all stakeholders involved in technology training programs across the firms offices nationwide.

Work closely with the Human Resources and Information Technology teams.

Conduct surveys to assess training needs.

Evaluate, improve, and update training programs.

Research training organizations and external training opportunities.

Gather information on programs offered elsewhere and assess their potential use within the firm.





Regularly update reports regarding training provided based on documentation that must be submitted in accordance with provincial legislation.

Manage confidential materials and documents.

Perform other duties as required.

Requirements College or university diploma; A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a trainer; Bilingual in French and English.

Fluency in both spoken and written French and English is required, as the successful candidate will be part of a national team serving internal and external clients located across Canada and internationally; Knowledge of the legal environment is considered an asset; Knowledge of adult learning methods; Knowledge of and interest in artificial intelligence; Professionalism and strong teaching abilities; Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite; Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with various individuals using discretion, tact, and courtesy; Strong organizational and time-management skills in order to prepare and deliver training effectively; Experience designing learning materials, including guides, videos, tutorials, and virtual and in-person training sessions; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Commitment to providing high-quality service; Ability to prioritize and organize work, effectively manage multiple tasks at once, and meet deadlines; Initiative and ability to work independently; Ability to work as part of a team; Commitment to producing high-quality work and solid attention to detail; Positive and professional attitude; Availability for occasional travel, primarily to Toronto, to participate in national projects, training sessions, and team meetings.
