Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 30 hours per week Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Tasks Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays Bake mixed dough and batters Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods Draw up production schedules Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards Inspect kitchen and food service areas Work conditions and physical capabilities Hand-eye co-ordination Manual dexterity Physically demanding Standing for extended periods Personal suitability Dependability Reliability Team player Patience Support for persons with disabilities Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities Support for newcomers and refugees Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.)
