The Digital Product Designer contributes to the development of digital product design solutions, creating artifacts to define product experiences with RBC''s products and services.
This role involves collaborating with team members and stakeholders to provide input on product design principles, user experiences, interactions and participating in project teams to support the delivery of design projects.
The Digital Product Designer is an individual contributor who applies digital product design skills to deliver project outcomes.
They contribute to solution development by analyzing user needs and business goals, and collaborate with others to drive projects forward.
This role involves merging user and business needs through metrics analysis and testing outcomes, working independently and with others to achieve project goals.
What you would work on Design Strategy % Actively participates in discussions on Digital Product Design strategy, offering advice and recommendations to cross-functional teams to inform product design and ensure craft excellence, consistency,
and alignment with Design systems and product guidelines Artifact Creation % Collaborates with team members to plan and coordinate Digital Product Design projects of medium complexity, estimating timelines and managing activities Creates design artifacts, such as sketches, wireframes, and prototypes, to explore and communicate system designs and client experiences Develops and refines non-textual content, ensuring consistency and accessibility across digital media, and provides feedback for improvement Present of Digital Product Design work to Product and Design teams, ensuring design standards and accessibility principles are met, and contributes to the development of consistent client experiences that align with RBC''s brand value proposition Research and Testing % Supports cross-functional teams, including Design Researchers and Product stakeholders, in informing design decisions through research discussions and data analysis Assists in developing and refining Digital Product Design solutions by contributing to user flows and prototypes, and participating in research activities to identify areas for improvement and provide design recommendations Whats in it for you Youll find yourself in a culture where designers feel included, valued, and heard; in a supportive environment surrounded by peers who exceed in their area of expertise.

What do you need to succeed? Must-have BA/BS degree in Design ( interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field or equivalent practical experience Portfolio that includes application design samples A minimum of years of experience in designing usable interfaces across multiple channels and platforms Experience in an applied research setting including experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices Demonstrated ability to articulate design strategy, rational and logic; describing benefits and highlighting risks associated with design decisions Demonstrated expertise with design, prototyping, and research tools such as Figma, Mural, Nice to have MA/MS degree or certification in Design ( interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field Robust understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase Appreciation for the potential of ''design thinking'' Experience working within a large organization and within an agile environment Comments: The request will be placed on hold Wednesday Aug th at :am EST for submissions.
