The Branch Manager is responsible for assisting in all operations including, but not limited to: sales, management and training of employees, ensuring high levels of customer service, timeliness of repairs and special orders, and monitoring inventory levels.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the Branch Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:

Staff Management:

- Co-ordination of daily internal training and development activities for employees;

- Plan and oversee recruitment activities to meet the staffing needs;

- Responsible for hiring and terminating staff;

- Conduct interviews of candidates for select roles;

- Organize and conduct corrective action of employees;

- Approve staff timesheets and requests for time off;

- Ensure a full staff is employed at all times;

- Manage the scheduling requirements; and

- Ensure safety precautions in the workplace are followed by staff.

Operational Management:

- Manage profit and loss, sales budgets, and goals;

- Facility management, safety, and security of all customers and employees on premises, loss prevention, and banking;

- Product management, including ordering, receiving, price changes, Customer Returns, Vendor Returns and handling damaged products;

- Follow administrative guidelines;

- Ensure accurate records for repairs and special orders; and

- Manage inventory and coordinate proper scheduling of inbound and outbound merchandise.





- Take an active role in developing and advancing items on the agenda of the Managers meetings for the continued development of the Management Team and enhancing business processes

- Manage day to day costs/petty cash. Submit and request approval for expenses over $1,000.00 dollars from ownership

- Run physical inventory annually at branch location as per company requirements

- Scheduling-Week Day/Vacation Time/Sick Time/Personal Time;

- Provide, enforce, and adjust as required the “Weekday” (Start/Finish time, non-smoking breaks, smoking breaks, and lunches) schedule for all members of the Inside Sales Team;

- Provide, enforce, and adjust as required the “Saturday” schedule for all members of the Inside Sales Team and work cooperatively with the warehouse leaders to ensure the warehouse staff component of the “Saturday” schedule is properly staffed;

- Manage the Inside Sales Team's vacation time to avoid short staff situations as per Independent Mechanical Supply's Vacation Policy; and

- Manage overtime when required.

Sales Generation:

- Responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, or annual sales goals; and

- Work with Sales Manager/President to continually monitor/adjust as necessary local pricing requirements

- Setting individual sales goals (quotas), holding contests for employees, and/or offering sales promotion.





- Develop relationships with customers that positions Independent Mechanical Supply as their first choice for purchasing materials;

- Work closely with vendors in a fair and open way to position Independent Mechanical Supply as a preferred partner (better than normal margins, preferential delivery dates, sharing of leads) within their strategy;

- Collaboratively develop marketing and promotional materials with the Sales Manager/Marketing Manager/Business Development Manager;

Other

- Foster a safe work environment of empowerment, accountability, respect, consideration, open honest interaction, fun and full participation in team meetings and activities with a winning attitude;

- Foster collaborative/problem solving demeanor amongst departments when required;

- Develop with team, continuous improvement ideas, assess for feasibility, implement changes and monitor for adjustments;
- Other duties as assigned

Mandatory Requirements

- Years of Industry Experience: 5+

- Years of Management Experience: 2+

- Software/System Experience:
AS400, Microsoft Office 365

- Skills and Abilities:

- Leadership skills

- Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven fast paced setting

- Ability to build internal and external relationships

- Demonstrated analytical, organizational, planning, and team building skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

- Experience suggesting and implementing changes to processes and procedure
