As a CGPS Governance Intern, your general duties and responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with the development of the College’s annual governance calendar, including coordinating governance committee activities, scheduling meetings and preparing agendas.
- Maintaining accurate records of governance decisions and policy updates, and supporting timely updates to official documentation.
- Drafting communications related to governance activities, including meeting notices, reports, minutes and policy updates.
- Conducting research and analysis on governance policies, procedures, and related best practices.
- Assisting with data collection and analysis to support governance processes and reporting.
- Participating in other various special projects as needed.

Your general location of work will be in the CGPS offices of USask’s Saskatoon Campus, and you will report to the Academic Affairs and Governance Specialist.

Hours & Duration

Required Number of Hours: 10 hours per week

Duration of Employment: September 1, 2026 – April 30, 2027 with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications

This internship is open to all current USask graduate students.



A student pursuing a graduate degree in Educational Administration, Public Policy, Public Administration, or Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on higher education, policy studies, or governance processes would be ideally suited.

Previous involvement in academic governance or related administrative roles is considered an asset.

Robust organizational and time-management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical thinking and attention to detail are also considered an asset.
