Join Metro Vancouver's dedicated team as a Communications Officer to enhance community relations regarding liquid waste services. This full time temporary role focuses on effective stakeholder communications until March 2025.
As part of the Community Engagement team, you will support communication strategies and prepare informative materials for public awareness. Key tasks will involve public consultation efforts, stakeholder engagement, and content management. Your organizational and communication skills will be pivotal for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create communication materials for community projects
- Act as a liaison for public inquiries and feedback
- Support engagement event logistics and execution
- Manage and update content for social channels
- Assist in tracking and reporting engagement activities
Requirements:
- Completion of high school, preferably with a degree in communications
- Significant understanding of public information strategies
- Strong oral and written communication abilities
- Experience in organizing meetings and events
- British Columbia driver’s license required
