Deliver exceptional surgical care as a General Surgeon in the military. Lead trauma teams and provide consultations while mentoring emerging medical professionals in various operational settings.
Your primary focus will be on providing surgical consultations to CAF members, both domestically and internationally. This position asks you to lead emergency care teams, educate on trauma and surgery, and maintain a high surgical skill level through civilian practice.
Engage in the development of health care policies supporting military operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consultations for injured CAF members
- Lead surgical teams in various environments
- Educate medical teams on surgical practices
- Maintain proficiency in civilian health care settings
- Contribute to CAF health care strategies
Requirements:
- Current unrestricted General Surgery license in Canada
- Membership in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons
- Completion of military officer training programs
- Experience in Trauma, Critical Care, or Vascular Surgery
- Willingness to engage in military field training
