Responsibilities - Perform operations on the water plant during shutdowns, including draining, cleaning, refilling Clearwell, excess lime clarifier, effluent clarifier, reactor clarifier, MGO reactor, MGO, lime, coag, floc basins, and back wash sump with the boiler house team.

- Perform routine duties on utilities such as starting and restarting equipment after power bumps or failures, maintaining irrigation fields and heads, replacing and cleaning filters, monitoring water levels, adding chemicals to hoppers to maintain their levels, and flushing pumps.
- Perform fire protection measures such as inspecting test valves every Monday, starting/shutting down fire pump, replacing and maintaining sprinkler heads, monitoring line breaks in loops, flushing hydrants, performing flow tests, operating risers, running fire drills, running the fire engines, and performing pressure tests on the sprinkler system.
- Operate, maintain, and perform duties on various pieces of machinery/equipment at the water plant, including performing water tests and interpreting the results, starting up/shutting down the water plant, draining, cleaning, and refilling the clearwell, excess lime clarifier, reactor clarifier, MGO reactor, MGO, lime, coag, floc basin, and back wash sump, preparing chemicals, cleaning filters,



and operating controls related to field valves, video controller, Oberlin, RO unit, RO pressure filter, and water supply, and RS view screen.
- Operate, maintain, and perform duties on various pieces of machinery/equipment at the steam plant such as blowing down the boiler, glass columns, mud drums, and transmitters; switching, starting, and stopping boilers; testing temperature, draining speeds, and pressure of boilers; and testing, lock‑out, charging, and recharging different kinds of equipment.
- Complete Shift Property Rounds as designated.
- Fulfill paperwork and data entry responsibilities by supplying data for monthly energy reports, daily readings, chemical inventories, and ordering supplies through various digital applications, enterprise systems, and platforms.
- Complete workplace inspections in POKA as assigned.
- Maintain all regulatory training.
- Use digital tools daily (POKA, Shiftboard/Schedule PRO, SAP, etc.).
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice, LEAN 5S, and housekeeping standards.
- Manage attendance and break management for regular punch‑in/out in the time‑keeping system (UKG).
- Perform other duties assigned by Chief Engineer 2, Utilities/Boiler House Leader.

Shift Schedule The role requires flexible shifts to support the business needs and relief requirements for the operation. Work is rotational 12‑hour shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays, in compliance with TSSA regulations.





Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent.

- TSSA Certificate of Qualification or Interprovincial Power Engineer Certification as a 3rd Class Engineer.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a 3rd Class Engineer, preferably in industrialized manufacturing.
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Suite, POKA, Shiftboard/Schedule PRO, SAP, and other digital platforms.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated safety mindset and behaviors.
- Fit to operate mobile equipment.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Work Conditions

Industrial environment with noise, dust, moving equipment, and fluctuating temperatures. The role may involve standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 40 lbs, working at heights, and confined spaces. Personal protective equipment includes safety shoes, hearing protection, eye protection, bump cap, and other designated PPE.

Kimberly‑Clark 570 Ravenscliffe Rd, Huntsville, ON P1H 2A1 Benefits Starting hourly wage: $43.82 CAD (increases to $46.15 CAD upon successful completion of the probationary period). The position is eligible for overtime pay, available pay increases within the first year, and a full benefits package.
