The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer), Rotorcraft to join our experienced maintenance team at Whitecourt, AB (Whitecourt Base Location – Whitecourt Airport, Woodlands Ln, Whitecourt, AB, T7S 0A4). This role is integral to ensuring the airworthiness and operational reliability of our fleet. The successful candidate will work in both base and field environments, supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.

This is a full time and permanent positions, and the compensation for this position ranges from $44.50 to $46.15 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and applicable skills.

Key Responsibilities - Inspect maintenance work done by aircraft mechanics

- Inspect structural and mechanical systems of aircraft and ensure that these systems meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety
- Perform routine maintenance, repair and overhaul to ensure adherence to standards and procedures




- Maintain detailed repair, inspection and certification records and reports. Carry out associated paperwork including Journey Log and Maintenance Log entries and document routine maintenance
- Carry out line maintenance, repairs and scheduled maintenance inspections, troubleshoot aircraft hydraulic systems, mechanical systems and structural systems
- Carry out structural, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs and overhauls on company aircraft as required to correct defects and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Install and modify engines, flight controls, fuel, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems during scheduled maintenance, unscheduled repairs, or component upgrades.
- Break down airframes, engines, and aircraft systems for detailed inspection, repair, and cleaning, followed by reassembly, testing, and certification.
- Guide, instruct and assist apprentices or other junior personnel in their duties
- Inspect work of aircraft mechanics performing modification of aircraft and aircraft mechanical systems to ensure adherence to standards and procedures
- Interpret blueprints/specifications/standards and written technical instructions
- Maintain an inventory of parts and equipment, and current tools and calibrations.
