About The Role
As an Analyst, Health & Benefits Consulting, you'll gain valuable insight into the group benefits industry while working alongside experienced and dedicated colleagues. Each day brings new challenges as you respond to client inquiries, analyze data, and provide strategic support to help solve complex problems. By leveraging data-driven insights, you'll collaborate closely with the analytical team and consultants, contributing to key decisions that drive meaningful outcomes for our clients.
What You’ll Do
Client Servicing & Account Management
- Actively manage assigned client accounts, representing HUB's values in all interactions.
- Participate in client meetings, events, and presentations (in-person and virtual) when appropriate.
- Respond to day‑to‑day client inquiries and provide problem‑solving support.
- Handle confidential information in accordance with HUB's privacy and confidentiality agreements.
- Supporting the consultant with client deliverables, including employee benefit renewals, claims experience reporting, employee benefit guides, and plan costing memos.
- Initiate and monitor plan changes with carriers from inception through completion, which includes reviewing insurance contracts/booklets and financial statements for accuracy, and delivering finalized documents to the client.
- Take clear, concise meeting notes (internal and external) and circulate within 24 hours with action items, ownership, and deadlines.
- Gain insight and build knowledge of our organization, its services, people and purpose.
- Ensure internal client files and email correspondence are properly maintained and current.
Project Management
- Assist with ad hoc projects including market surveys, benchmarking studies, and carrier implementations.
- Partner with client teams to gather data, prepare drafts, and ensure deliverables meet designated timelines.
- Support the lead consultants by conducting or directing research, and drawing meaningful conclusions from client and market data.
Actuarial Support (for actuarial track candidates)
- Conduct data review, assumption setting, and report writing for actuarial valuations.
What You’ll Need for Success
- Post‑secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Commerce, Mathematics, or Actuarial Sciences.
- 1‑2 years of professional experience as an analyst or in a corporate setting, with employee perks experience being a valuable asset.
- Completion of courses related to Group Benefits (e.g.,
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist – CEBS, insurance license, and actuarial designation) are not required, but would be an asset.
- LLQP certification is considered an asset; candidates without it must be willing to complete it within the first year of employment.
- Advanced Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel (including complex formulas and graphs), PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience with Power BI is an asset.
- Working knowledge/experience with a closed loop AI platform would be considered an asset.
- Excellent communication, project management, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data validation and document review.
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to elevate issues.
- Experience working in a high‑paced, growth environment.

Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is $55,000 to $60,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid‑time‑off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
