Responsibilities - Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Operates primarily outside the office conducting visits and resolving customer concerns. Works across remote offices and hotel facilities.
- Develops and executes a marketing/calling program within an assigned dealer market area to reach business development targets, managing the volume, flow, and yield of a dealer loan application/sales pipeline; maintains effective follow-up with existing dealers while deepening client awareness of Scotiabank’s value proposition.
- Ensures all aspects of assigned dealers receive ongoing attention to achieve dealer satisfaction, maintaining, improving, growing, and retaining the relationship by staying current on business line products and services, systems, processes, and skills as required by Scotiabank and Automotive Finance standards.
- Manages work processes and expectations in accordance with the Seller Behavior Expectations, achieving minimum standards for both partner and non-partner dealers.
- Implements and supports ongoing customer education on Scotiabank’s processes, policies, and best practices to assist Dealers in increasing efficiency and proficiency when submitting paperwork.
- Maintains deep knowledge of all bank cross‑sell opportunities and joint call opportunities to sustain and grow dealer relationships.
- Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues efficient operations in their respective areas while ensuring compliance with operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk, including responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and Guidelines for Business Conduct.
Qualifications - Completion of a post‑secondary education (college or university) and/or equivalent business experience (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of auto retail sales experience.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
- Knowledge of business‑related computer software, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (data import/export).
- Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to identify problems and develop and execute solutions.
Languages required: French (mandatory) and English (sufficient).
