We are looking for a special individual to join our management team as an Assistant Café Leader (our term for Assistant Manager) at our Simmons Building cafe.

This is a full-time leadership role with a competitive salary and benefits package, based on experience. You’ll work closely with the Café Leader of Simmons Building Café, our Director and Cafe Operations team, alongside Phil and Sebastian, who are actively involved in developing our leaders.

As an Assistant Cafe Leader at Simmons Building Café, you’re not just running a café—you're helping define the Phil & Sebastian experience. You will set the tone for coffee excellence, hospitality, and team culture while creating memorable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.

You’ll lead from the front, balancing coffee quality, operational excellence, and people development. With a strong understanding of specialty coffee, you'll inspire your team to continually improve, share their knowledge and take pride in deliverying an exceptional café experience.

PREREQUISITES:

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

- Are deeply passionate about specialty coffee and have a strong understanding of coffee quality, preparation, and service
- Have hands-on experience working with specialty coffee and a desire to continually deepen your coffee knowledge
- Take pride in representing a flagship café and setting the standard for quality and hospitality
- Always commit to deliver exceptional hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
- Have a passion for specialty coffee and a desire to continually deepen your coffee knowledge




- Bring at least 1 year of supervision experience in coffee or restaurants
- Are a collaborative team player who takes initiative and ownership
- Enjoy coaching, developing and supporting your teammates
- Are energized by a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
- Are available full-time, including weekends and holidays
- Have flexible availability for early mornings, late evenings, and occasional special event service, aligned with café hours and business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Support Daily Operations of the business through inventory, ordering, maintenance, cash, cleanliness and quality control management.
