The Assistant Director of Care is pivotal in maintaining Extendicare’s mission to help people live better. This full-time role requires strong leadership to oversee clinical areas, advocate for resident safety, and promote engagement among residents and their families. Collaborating with the Director of Care, you'll implement quality improvement initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:



• Manage assigned program areas and ensure compliance • Identify risk and implement mitigation strategies • Monitor compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care • Lead quality improvement initiatives within the facility

Requirements: • Three years of experience in long-term care as registered staff • Current registration as a Registered Nurse • Bachelor of Nursing or Post-secondary Diploma preferred • CPR certification and proficiency with EHR systems • Robust leadership and communication skills
