Tartelette Bakery & Café is an award-winning bakery and café known for exceptional pastries, artisan breads, specialty coffee, and a welcoming customer experience. We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Assistant Front Manager to join our team and help lead our front-of-house operations.

Position Summary The Assistant Front Manager will support the daily management of the café while working alongside the team on the floor. This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys customer service, preparing high-quality espresso-based beverages, coaching staff, and maintaining excellent operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in managing the daily operations of the café.
- Lead the front-of-house team and ensure outstanding customer service.
- Prepare espresso-based coffee and specialty beverages to a high standard.
- Train, coach, and develop baristas and front-of-house staff.
- Supervise staff performance and ensure company policies and service standards are followed.
- Coordinate daily staff assignments and support scheduling as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
- Monitor product presentation, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of café supplies.
- Support opening and closing procedures,



cash handling, and daily reporting.
- Work closely with management to improve operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a café, coffee shop, or restaurant in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong barista skills, including preparing espresso, cappuccino, latte, and other specialty drinks.
- Experience training and mentoring staff.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Food Handler Certification is an asset.
