We are looking for an experienced and innovative attorney to join our regulatory and product counsel team as Assistant General Counsel, reporting to the Senior Director and Deputy General Counsel, Crypto at Robinhood.

In this role, you’ll partner directly with our product and compliance teams on product launches and provide legal counsel to them on an ongoing basis. The successful candidate will be an engaged and resourceful self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and excellent at building robust relationships. This role is based in our Toronto office with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. Respond promptly to a wide range of sophisticated legal requests and coordinate closely with internal stakeholders and outside counsel to deliver practical, timely and high-quality advice Identify and assess legal and regulatory risks,



and find creative ways to mitigate them while achieving product goals Advise on legal and regulatory developments related to cryptocurrency in Canada Engage directly with Canadian securities regulators and self-regulatory organizations on matters of compliance and innovation Be a business partner and think like a proactive product owner, not just a legal advisor Pitch in on whatever legal work needs doing, whenever it needs to be done 7+ years of relevant work experience at a law firm, government agency and/or technology, financial services, brokerage or fintech company ~ Experience with legal and regulatory requirements applicable to crypto, securities, derivatives, money transmission, and/or sanctions ~ Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills and phenomenal ability to communicate information effectively internally and externally, including to non-legal audiences, and to drive cross-functional alignment and action ~ Performance driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, and equity ownership Top tier benefits to fuel your work, including supplemental health insurance, ancillary insurance, and mental health support programs Lifestyle wallet - a highly flexible employer-paid benefits spending account expenses beyond traditional benefits such as wellness, childcare, learning, and more. Monthly commuter stipend to help offset in-office commuting costs In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.
