We have an immediate opening for a part/full time Assistant Gym Manager to oversee and coach classes in our growing recreational program. The ideal candidate will have strong gymnastics coaching experience, managing experience would be an asset. We are looking for a mature team player who is reliable and ready to grow with us.
Applicants must have a strong background in gymnastics or dance and outstanding customer service. An outgoing personality and a genuine passion for gymnastics and children is a must as well. A background in dance / fitness / cheerleading / Kinesiology is also an asset.
Founded in 2006, Gymalaya Vaughan is a recreational gymnastics facility located in the centre of Vaughan, Ontario, with additional locations in Newmarket and Burlington. Gymalaya state-of-the-art facility is bright, clean, colourful, and fully equipped. Our professionally developed, non-competitive curriculum is designed to build physical, mental and social skills while having tons of fun.
Start Date: ASAP
Your responsibilities:
- Teach gymnastics to young children. You do not need to prepare lesson plans, set up your stations or write report cards. Everything is provided!
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Manage all day-to-day operations (take registrations, schedule classes, book parties and events, answer phone calls and emails, data entry and other administrative tasks)
- Supervise our awesome birthday parties and seasonal camps
- Manage staff
- Maintain a clean facility
You must have:
- A strong background in gymnastics / dance / cheerleading / physical education is a must
- A big smile on your face and endless enthusiasm
- Be passionate about working with young children and toddlers
- Ability to work some evenings and one day on the weekend
- Able to commit for a long-term employment
- Be mature, reliable and on time
- Be a great team player
- Be able to work minimum 20 hours per week
