Come join our dynamic Real Estate team at Loblaw Companies Limited – where everyday there are current opportunities and learning challenges that lie ahead! The incumbent will report to the Vice President of Grocery Real Estate and Market Analytics and will be responsible for negotiating, leasing, and managing New Store Opportunities, Lease Renewals, Special Projects and more in Quebec.
Duties
- Evaluate and analyze new store locations and development opportunities in the retail sector of Quebec;
- Analyze and model the pro forma to determine the financial feasibility of new stores;
- Negotiate real estate agreements for new stores, expansions, replacements, conversions and rightsizes;
- Establish and maintain relationships with developers and landlords in Quebec;
- Prepare and present decks for the Real Estate Capital Meetings;
- Work directly with landlords and brokers to source recent locations;
- Negotiate lease rates for upcoming lease renewals;
- Assist the store design, development, construction and operation teams to ensure that store openings are achieved on time.
Skills and Experience
- Post‑secondary education equivalent to a university degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Geography, Finance, Business,
or related field.
- Five to Seven years’ experience in commercial real‑estate deal negotiations.
- Leading‑edge skills in PowerPoint and Excel with ability to create executive level presentation decks that describe the real estate project, including developing a variety of charts and economic proformas.
- Ability to work with diverse personalities and styles. Effective and clear communicator both written & verbal, in one‑on‑one or group situations over the phone or through email in both French and English according to relevant market.
- Strategic problem solver with the ability to make supportable decisions.
- Sound knowledge of financial data, lease documents and retail market trends.

Compensation
Hiring Range / Échelle salariale à l’embauche: $128,000.00 – $176,000.00 per year / 128.000,00$ – 176.000,00$ (per year / par an). A candidate’s experience and knowledge as well as the geographical region in which the position is located may be factored into the pay a candidate receives for this position.
