Reports to General Supervisor, Field Services Shift 7x7- 12h per shift, rotation between days and nights Allowances Additional premiums and allowances are associated with this position due to location Safety Sensitive Yes- drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5‑year provincial driving record will be required Travel up to 25% within Canada and the USA Relocation This position does not offer relocation Key Job Responsibilities Weld and repair mining equipment in the field and in the shop when needed Perform all‑position welding using GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW with various wire sizes Complete maintenance and repair work at client sites Read and interpret blueprints and follow company quality standards Use oxy/fuel cutting equipment and electric welding machines confidently Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Prioritize safety for yourself and your team Qualifications/Requirements Journeyperson Welder certification (Red Seal preferred) Dual‑ticket in welding and machining is an asset 3–7 years of welding experience Experience repairing mining equipment such as trucks and shovels Line boring/machining experience and the ability to build up worn bores Comfortable working independently in both field and shop environments NDT or CWB experience is an asset Heat‑treating experience and familiarity with 3/32 wire is an advantage P&H mechanical experience is an asset Valid Alberta driver’s license Access all mine sites without restrictions Able to physically lift 50lbs safely Additional Information This posting reflects an existing vacancy within our organization.
