Business Analyst Job Type: Permanent
Location: Toronto - ONSITE for the first 3 months, after which a hybrid option will be considered - three days in office and two days remote.
Reporting to: Technical Development Director
Salary: 60k to 80k CAD per year
Role Type:Current Job purpose We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Business Analyst to help support the planning, analysis, and delivery of a major software development project currently underway. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure clear communication of requirements and alignment between business goals and technical solutions. For the first three months this is an on-site role in our Toronto office, and applicants must be available to work in the office full-time.
After three months a hybrid option will be considered - three days on-site and two days remote. What will be your key responsibilities?
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications for development teams.
- Create user stories, process flows, and use cases to support system design and development.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to define project scope, priorities, and solutions.
- Work closely with QA and development teams to support testing and ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Assist in managing project timelines and deliverables in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Support change management activities and provide training/documentation as needed. What are we looking for?
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within software development or digital transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into transparent and concise documentation.
- Proficient in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in the travel or tourism industry is a plus. What can you expect from Goway?
