Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support complex business and information technology initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to analyze business needs, document requirements, evaluate solutions, and support the successful delivery of business and IT projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and conduct business analysis activities at varying levels of detail to assess business problems and opportunities.

- Document business requirements to support the identification and implementation of technology solutions.

- Develop strategies, business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and feasibility studies for business and IT initiatives.

- Conduct business modeling, use case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, process and data flow modeling.

- Define business rules and non-functional requirements for assigned initiatives.

- Perform gap analysis of vendor release upgrades and identify required business process, configuration, reporting, and integration changes.

- Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and provide regular status reporting to management and key stakeholders.

- Develop and track performance measures to evaluate business analysis outcomes.

- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and data providers.

- Document new requirements and prepare analysis and design documentation.

- Manage evolving requirements and ensure traceability throughout development and implementation.

- Facilitate knowledge transfer activities and create project documentation as directed by project leadership.

Required Qualifications

Core Experience

- Minimum 7 years of Business Analysis experience.

- Experience assessing business problems and opportunities and documenting business requirements.





- Experience applying business process re-engineering concepts to improve service delivery.

- Experience developing business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and feasibility studies.

- Experience conducting business modeling, use case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, process and data flow modeling.

- Experience performing gap analysis for vendor release upgrades.

- Experience monitoring project progress, resolving issues, and reporting to stakeholders.

- Experience developing performance measures and conducting follow-up evaluations.

Knowledge & Experience

- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting business initiatives and projects.

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Awareness of emerging IT trends and technologies.

- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

- Experience translating business requirements into epics, user scenarios, and stakeholder-ready mockups.

- Experience working on large and complex projects.

- Knowledge of industry-standard project management methodologies.

- Experience supporting health-sector related initiatives within the Ontario Public Sector environment.

- Knowledge of public sector policy and IT project approval processes.

Public Sector Experience

- Experience working in public sector environments involving mainframe or legacy systems.

- Exposure to cloud technologies.

Soft Skills

- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and negotiation skills.

- Solid listening and consultation abilities.





- Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into clear and concise documentation.

- Highly organized with strong multitasking capabilities.

- Flexible, motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative team player.

- Proven ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.

Mandatory Requirements

- Minimum 7 years of Business Analysis experience.

- Experience developing strategies, business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and feasibility studies for business and I⁢ initiatives.
