Through teamwork and collaboration, we’re building a stronger, more resilient Stantec every day.OpportunityWe are looking for a Senior Website Content Specialist to support the creation, maintenance, and optimization of content across our corporate website and associated microsites. This role is ideal for a hands‑on web content professional who enjoys building high‑quality pages, ensuring content accuracy and consistency, and collaborating with digital, UX, and marketing partners. This is a senior individual‑contributor role. You will bring deep CMS and web content expertise, lead by example through execution, and help ensure our website content is clear, usable, accessible, and aligned with brand and governance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesWeb Content Creation & MaintenanceCreate, update, and maintain website content using an enterprise content management system (CMS).Build pages using approved templates and components, applying copy, imagery, and assets accurately.Ensure content is current, well‑structured, and aligned with brand voice and content standards.Support regular content audits to identify outdated, duplicate, or underperforming content.Content Quality & ConsistencyApply strong attention to detail to ensure formatting, structure, links, and metadata are correct prior to publishing.Ensure consistent tone, layout,



and presentation across content types and pages.Apply accessibility and usability best practices when building and updating content.CMS & Site SupportConfigure page settings including metadata, tags, redirects, and basic SEO fields.Maintain page hierarchies and navigation elements in alignment with established information architecture.Identify CMS, template, or content issues and collaborate with digital or technical partners to resolve them.UX & Optimization SupportApply UX and content‑design principles to improve readability, clarity, and findability.Partner with UX, analytics, and digital marketing teams to implement content improvements and optimizations.Validate page builds and content updates before launch to ensure quality.Collaboration & EnablementAct as a subject‑matter expert for CMS usage and web content standards.Provide guidance to content contributors on best practices, templates, and governance requirements.Collaborate closely with digital marketing, UX, IT, and external partners.Required Experience4–6 years of hands‑on experience creating or maintaining web or digital content.Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, English, Journalism, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Strong experience working in a CMS‑driven environment (enterprise CMS experience preferred, Adobe AEM would be an asset).Experience supporting complex, multi‑page websites.Skills & StrengthsStrong writing, editing, and content quality skills.Excellent attention to detail and quality control.Solid understanding of web content structure, usability,



and accessibility fundamentals.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.Clear communicator with both technical and non‑technical partners.Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and web analytics.Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel.Experience working within formal website governance or brand standards.Experience collaborating with external digital agencies or vendors.Pay TransparencyIn compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
