Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join the team at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, BC. Bring your expertise in ultrasound to our healthcare workplace!
In this role, you will conduct abdominal, obstetrical, and vascular ultrasound exams while prioritizing patient safety at all times. You'll handle requisition processing, patient preparation, and data entry in our imaging systems. Participation in team studies and collaboration is a key expectation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations
• Process and fulfill requisition requests
• Prepare patients for sonographic procedures
• Utilize advanced ultrasound and Doppler techniques
• Collaborate in research and committee activities
Requirements:
• Certified by Sonography Canada or ARDMS
• Completion of a recognized diagnostic sonography program
• Knowledge of safe work practices and aseptic techniques
• Ability to comply with departmental examination standards
• Proficient in technology relevant to patient care
