We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Canadian Admissions Manager to join our team. This multifaceted role is responsible for supporting the admissions process, executing marketing initiatives, and coordinating events that promote the organization and engage prospective students, families, and the broader community. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, creative, and personable, with a passion for education and community engagement.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Title: Canadian Admissions Manager
Reports to: Director of Admissions & Marketing, Canada; Head of School for Shawnigan Lake Campus
Remuneration: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 annual salary, commensurate with qualifications and experience; competitive compensation package including monthly performance-based commissions and an annual bonus opportunity tied to admissions target achievement; lunch provided when on shift; optional RRSP matching; extended medical & dental package.
Summary: The Canadian Admissions Manager will be responsible for the Canadian boarding and local day admissions process from inquiry to enrollment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and excels in both administrative tasks and relationship building. In addition to overseeing admissions, the successful candidate will coordinate and attend outreach events in the community to attract prospective students and families.
This position requires exceptional people skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
JOB DUTIES:
- Manage and oversee the admissions process, including application intake, documentation review, interviews, and enrollment procedures
- Lead recruitment and enrollment initiatives for boarding students throughout British Columbia and across Canada, while managing admissions for local day students and fostering strong relationships with prospective families
- Conduct school tours and handle communications with inquiring local families
- Assist in the organization of admissions events such as open houses,
campus tours, and recruitment fairs
- Maintain and update admissions records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in the student database
- Work closely with the Finance department on tuition statements and payments
- Collaborate with the Admissions team to improve the school’s marketing and promotion initiatives
- Serve as an active member of the school’s Scholarship Committee, contributing to the annual review and selection of scholarship recipients
- Work with the boarding team to capture and share student life content
- Propose and implement new strategies to increase local student enrollment
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for admissions events or tours
- Support onboarding and provide regular, scheduled check-ins with all new Canadian students throughout the school year.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2–3 years experience in admissions in an educational setting
- Proven track record of organizing and executing successful school events (e.g., open houses, fundraisers, school fairs)
- Experience developing and implementing marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms
- Demonstrated ability to manage admissions processes, including inquiries, tours, applications, and enrollment
- Strong customer service experience, with the ability to communicate effectively with prospective families and stakeholders
- Familiarity with school information systems (SIS), or other online registration systems
ASSETS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in marketing an asset
- Proficiency in database management systems, Google, and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Open Apply and Managebac systems
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced workplace
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, administration, and external vendors
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
