Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Cantonese or Mandarin speaking Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring hospice or home care. As a Caregiver, you will deliver personalized care with energy and dedication, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for each person you serve.

Your linguistic skills will help foster meaningful communication and trust, creating a warm environment where clients feel valued and understood.

Responsibilities

- Provide daily personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance to clients who speak Cantonese or Mandarin.
- Support with medication administration according to prescribed schedules and safety protocols.
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while accommodating dietary restrictions.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning living areas, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic setting.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.
- Assist with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary, to ensure client safety.




- Document care activities accurately in compliance with agency policies and communicate any changes in health status to supervisors promptly.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in assisted living, home care, nursing home settings, or senior care environments.
- Strong background in patient care, dementia care, hospice support, or working with individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to communicate fluently in Cantonese or Mandarin; bilingual skills are highly valued.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility tasks safely.
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and positive attitude.
- Prior experience with meal preparation, cleaning, and general household tasks preferred.
