Job Summary

A career in Deals Valuations will provide you with the opportunity to help organizations unlock greater value from existing businesses and assets, new acquisitions, investments, and complex corporate arrangements.

Responsibilities

- Understand the business/assets being valued, its historical and projected performance, and key strengths and challenges.
- Conduct financial research into industry and general economic conditions, discount rates/cost of capital, valuation multiples for relevant public companies, and precedent transactions.
- Engage clients in discussions around their business, operations, and financial items to further valuation analysis.
- Prepare complex valuation models to support and arrive at valuation conclusions.
- Assist in report preparation.
- Perform audit support work including the review of purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment assessments, and private equity portfolio company valuations.
- Collaborate with colleagues across all lines of services to deliver valuations alongside other services provided by PwC.

Qualifications

- Strong financial background with superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Investigative mindset with attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture.




- Solid technical/analytical and project management skills.
- Ability to analyze business situations and a professional, personable demeanor for client interaction and teamwork.
- Team player with a CPA/CA designation (other accounting or finance-based designations considered).
- Progress toward completion of the Chartered Business Valuator designation considered an asset.
- Interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, with openness to learning new tools and adapting work methods.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Power Platform and Python preferred.
- Commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard.

Compensation & Benefits

- Base salary range: $58,400 – $97,500.
- Eligible for variable incentive pay programs designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
